Canadian VNC charts at 1:500,000 cover the entire country and are designed for Visual Flight Navigation. Printed on two sides with the Northern half on side A and the Southern half on side B. Useful maps to consider for long distance planning such as extended canoe tripping. These are the current charts used for bush pilots and are kept up-to-date and so despite their small scale they are at times several decades newer than the topographic NTS maps showing the updated road network.
